Key design elements considered in the development of the VEO+ are user and performance focused. Based on a superior and innovative digital technology, four available PA configurations (16:64PR, 32:64PR, 16:128PR or 32:128PR) are offered as software options. Upgradeability in the field when needed!

Features
Superior Digital Technology
The Veo+ offers superior data throughput and unsurpassed computational capacity. It delivers fast and accurate results using an impressive 32 channel PA beamformer that provides exceptional SNR, through the use of enhanced digital signal processing.

Data file size is not a concern for the Veo+ thanks to its 64-bit Linux operating system because it can count on a fast 128GB SSD memory capacity allowing you to record huge amounts of information in a single acquisition file.

Intuitive Menus and Workflow
The intuitive menu system is application and workflow driven, with set up and operation swiftly becoming second nature. Integrated help and Wizards guide the user through scan set up whilst Optimisation Tips ensure the Veo+ always performs at the highest level. Fast and efficient wizards for sound velocity; wedge delay, TCG, DAC, TOFD setup and Encoder calibration are all provided as standard.

The inspection plan shows the operator in 3D where probes are positioned on the test part, simplifying the inspection set up and providing an inspection reference for reporting. Using the latest computer technology, data can be permanently recorded for processing and report generation. All adjustments to focal laws are instantaneous, with angle resolution to 0.1° and up to 1024 focal laws without loss of performance

Remote Control Solution

Using Sonatest’s UT link software application, Veo+ can be fully used and controlled remotely, via a simple network connection. Veo+ now offers WiFi along with its fast GB Ethernet port.

Advanced Analysis Software

The UT Studio software application comes as part of the Veo+ package is used to manage inspection configurations, perform data analysis and build precise reports. These data files are easily transferred via a network or a USB data key to the PC. Then, thanks to a comprehensive, right click / drag and drop user interface, the user can create new data views, customize colour palettes, add and modify gates and measurement parameters, generate extended reports much more.

Ideal WheelProbe Partner

Efficient and effective scanning can also be achieved when the Veo+ is partnered with Sonatest’s WheelProbes, namely the new WP2

Compatible with Sonatest VEO+, VEO and Prisma instruments, UT Studio is a PC-based software application useful to design inspection configurations, analyze data and produce reports.

UT Studio

Enhances the technician workflow when it is time to create or manage inspection configurations (setups) to be loaded on the instrument, perform data analysis and build precise customer reports. Thanks to its comprehensive drag and drop user interface, data analysis is made easy as one can create customized views, add and modify gates or measurement parameters, adjust the colour palettes, generate extended reports and much more. Suitable for both phased array and conventional ultrasonic technologies, UT Studio is able to accomplish amazing things and get the job done for a multitude of simple to advanced applications. Moreover, as part of the package Sonatest offers one FREE UT Studio license with each instrument delivery.

UT Studio Viewer

This is a free version offered to the technician so he can review data files with most of the tools available in UT Studio but without the ability to save modifications applied to the document. It is the perfect solution to easily share data files with customers or colleagues that haven't access to a complete UT Studio license on their PC.
Main functionalities include:

• Share your results without giving the need to activate a license key;
• Open any configuration and data files for review;
• Get access to most of the useful analysis and measurement tools

UT LINK

Compatible with Sonatest veo+, veo and prisma instruments, UT Link is a PC-based software application designed to fully control the instrument remotely via a simple network connection

The UT Link remote control solution works with any standard local and wide area network (LAN / WAN) using either the fast gigabit Ethernet or WIFI technologies embedded in Sonatest instruments. Once the remote technician enables communication connection, the complete instrument interface is virtually replicated on his PC (including enclosure keypad action buttons), making UT Link a very simple tool to use. This is an optimal way of getting real-time access to an instrument or receiving advice from an expert sitting nearby or anywhere in the world

• Flexible yet simple remote control solution based on a standard network technology;
• Virtually replicate the complete instrument interface including keypad action buttons;
• Instrument auto recognition once connected.

UTLity

Compatible with latest Sonatest Masterscan and Sitescan series instruments, UTLity is PC-based software providing everything you need to manage your inspection data as well as your instruments.

UTLity
Is a FREE version which gives the technician the ability to view, move and manage Calibrations, A-Scans, B-Scans and Thickness Logs both on the instrument and on the PC with this version, it is also possible to create customized inspection report templates, cut and paste information to other applications and create printable pdf documents.

Main functionalities include:

• Load, store, manage files both on the PC and on a connected flaw detector;
• Save, analyze, colour code and export Thickness logging data to spreadsheets/asset management software;
• Update the Flaw Detector Software and Firmware as and when updates become available on our website.

UTLity Pro
Is the "professional" option and works in conjunction with the Corrosion Software option of an instrument providing the end user with the ability to create and manage inspection plans, location notes, historical thickness readings and other asset management information as required.

Main functionalities include:

• Set up inspection plan (grid) templates, notes and labels;
• Import previous readings into an inspection plan;
• Export inspection plan data to a spreadsheets or to plant maintenance databases.
